Champions, the official magazine of the UEFA Champions League, has come out with a list of the best dressed footballers in Europe.

There are a couple of Azzurri on the list (one was a HUGE surprise to me) and some others fans of calcio will be very familiar with. I have no idea how they came up with this, but it is what it is...

1 - Thierry Henry - Top spot for knowing what to wear and how to wear it goes to the Arsenal captain. Top Savile Row tailor Thomas Mahon says: “Thierry Henry would definitely be my best-dressed choice. He has an inner confidence that makes him appear relaxed.”

2 - Fabio Cannavaro - Another who has had a turn modelling for Italian giants Armani and Dolce and Gabbana, the Azzuri national team captain will never be
short of a sharp suit. He chooses the cut well, always looks good like he’s
enjoying his clothes when he steps out

3 - Gennaro Gattuso - Most often seen in casual gear, Gattuso can look imprisoned in a suit and tie, but he makes interesting choices that flatter him.

4 - Fabio Capello - Still the daddy of the dugout when it comes to looking good.
Capello knows how to put together the perfect ensemble, from his shiny designer
specs to the toes of his perfectly polished shoes. This man always looks as neat
as a pin.

5 - Luis Figo - And talking of James Bond, what were the producers of the new
movie thinking, not inviting the debonair Luis Figo to audition? Elegant and
smart but never staid thanks to his casual slicked-back hairstyle. Figo knows
exactly the look he wants to achieve and dressed with confidence.

6 - Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney - Surely some mistake, you think. Leading fashion designer Ann-Sofie Back says: “I think the one man representing the essence of a football player is Wayne Rooney. I love his bulldog face and bright red complexion. I would love to design for him and for Rio Ferdinand too - I like his cruel mouth and Ursula Andress hair.” We assume that quote is old as we doubt that Ursula Andress is actually bald.

7 - Rigobert Song - He has a knack of being able to carry off virtually any look with aplomb. He can do casual, bling, sleek suits, loud African print shirts, native jellaba robes and even makes a big effort with his locks.

8 - Andriy Shevchenko - Their £30 million striker oozes southern European
style, thanks to his time in Milan and friendship with Giorgio Armani. Whether
Sheva’s look will change to something a little edgier now he’s resident in west
London remains to be seen.

9 - Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho - Two different men, two different styles. The way Wenger and Mourinho dress, one careful, precise, the other more impassioned but keen on important details, reveals a lot about their approach to coaching. “Both dress as though clothes mean little to them, but they are well aware of what suits them,” says Mahon.

10 - David Beckham - Still the icon of millions, he always makes an effort but at times must try harder. “There’s a bit of style to Beckham for want of a better word,” says Mahon. “It often looks as if he’s been with a personal shopper but I think in some respects he’s reaped the benefit of that: he’s developed a slightly more conservative eye as he’s got older, which lets his personality come through.” Eve magazine’s fashion editor Alice Kodell said: “Beckham is the ultimate fashion victim. Arsenal
vs Hamburg - match report

Ok, so by now, everyone should know that Arsenal beat Hamburg with a final score of 3-0, am I right? And I promised juicy details, remember? Ok, here goes. Take note that the juicy details = Cesc Fabregas and his sweet shenanigans during the match.

During the first half, Arsenal was seen playing in an un-focused manner. It was quite frustrating as many had the thinkings that, "Oh no, it's gonna be one of those nights again...." But truth be told, I knew Arsenal was gonna win somehow. So, they went through the 1st half, lagging behind Hamburg as Hamburg led with a long goal by Raphael van der Vaart 4 minutes into the match. It was scary, really. Then, I saw Cesc speaking out slightly angry to the 4th official, when he had already taken the ball to throw in but the 4th official said it was Hamburg's ball. That was the first of his angry side I saw last night.

And now to the second half and all the juicy wissy bits...
I'm gonna do this in point form. So read up!

1. When the 2nd half was about to start, Cesc was seen warming up, stretching and swinging his arms forward and backwards. He looked ultra cute. LOL.
Just like a lil boy.

2. Then, when Cesc was about to take a free kick awarded to Arsenal, there was this Hamburg guy who stopped him. He was like blocking Cesc when Cesc was about to kick the ball. And the Hamburg fella was yellow-carded if I'm not wrong?

3. Then, Cesc did one of his stunning passes to Van Persie and Van Persie scored! HOORAYY! And oh, I love the way Cesc stands still to watch after passing the ball to a fellow team mate, somehow knowing that they will score. Did anyone notice that about him? I did, I did!

5. Henry was yellow-carded and he will be missing Arsenal next match against Porto as that would have been his 3 yellow card.

4. Hleb was supposed to be given a free kick but the ref said nothing about it and once more, Cesc had the ball in his hand to throw in and when the ref insisted it was Hamburg's ball, Cesc was seen pushing the Hamburg guy away. (Psst, he seems angry nowadays!)

5. You guys saw how Freddie Ljungberg was brought down by an opponent and how the opponent actually had his hand on Ljungberg's butt while they fall? LOL. OH YES, Freddie has been introduced back into the team after missing 10 games = 6 weeks.

6. Then, Arsenal was awarded yet another free kick and Cesc wanted to take it, so he ran behind the opponent with the ball, obviously wanting to take the ball from the opponent. BUT, the opponent actually took the ball and threw it down behind Cesc. Cesc could be seen unhappy but he did nothing but just raise his arms.

7. Cesc attempted a goal shot! It was a 45 yard kick AND the ball hit the RIGHT POST! IT WAS SO BLOODY NEAR TO HIM SCORING, JUST LIKE XABI'S 60 YARD+
WONDERGOAL earlier on this season.

8. With 7 minutes left, Eboue scored the 2nd goal! It was fantastic!

9. Then, Cesc won the ball after one of those bad tackles with a Hamburg player but the ref blew his whistle and Cesc lost the ball. He was quite pissed off.

10. Oh btw, Theo Walcott, Baptista, Adebayor was substituted into the game during the 2nd half. Persie, Flamini and Ljunberg was sent to the bench.

11. And then, in the final 3 minutes, Baptista scored after a fantastic run and pass by Mr Speedy aka Theo Walcott! He was significant really. He will grow to be an amazing player just like his fellow team mate, Cesc. Well, he already is and look at his age! Look at where Cesc was at Theo's current age!
Hooray!

12. And now, the juiciest details of all, during extra time, Cesc was tackled badly by a fellow Hamburg and Arsenal was awarded a corner and guess what Cesc did? For the love of Arsenal and Cesc and in all the aggro-ness within Cesc, he actually kissed a flying peace to the guy who allowed them a corner. In detail, Cesc pressed his fingers in a gesture of the peace sign onto his lips and then blew it of sort. If you don't get what I'm saying, it was just like a flying kiss. Awesome, Cesc, awesome! The look on Cesc's face, the expression, now that's what I'd call PRICELESS TO THE MAX.

And damnit, I didn't get that on camera. I was so close to catching it but I failed. I almost cried, for missing it! Arghhh. :| I hope we can find it somewhere on youtube along with Cesc 45 yards goal attempt!
They went through the first half terribly and returned in the second half with 3 goals the gunners way!

Football Updates

After about two week international games, all players returned to clubs either with more strong confidence as Bellamy, or with unfortunate broken ankle as Kuyt, or, most of them, with extremely fatigue as Pirlo. Hard to blame UEFA or clubs, but too tight play schedule and far from enough med monitoring/treatment are the main reason result in heavy injuries.

This week in Premiership, Arsenal and Man U. stay on their track, while Chelsea got a real bloody win because they lost their two brilliant goalies in one match. Reading has some reputation of tough team especially for a home match, in today's game Reading's players hit Chelsea's goalie heavily but did not even get a yellow card! Cudicini maybe cover soon, but Cech... is still in UCI now

FA should take some action on stricken rules for faults and cards, otherwise only few players can survive from those tough games :-(

Well i didn't watch the game. You know why!
But they won 3-0 over Watford. OWWW my baby Cesc must be so happy recently. And my next england hero THEO WALCOTT become a starter! owh im so proud. So far, Arsenal ranks 5 with 16pts.

Fabregas - 8 - Unusually for Cesc there were quite a few misplaced passes from him in the first half, however he almost scored a great goal after rounding the keeper but fired into the side netting. After the break he ran the show & confirmed what a fantastic player he is & with the boss saying there is more to come I am licking my lips in anticipation.

Walcott - 7 - Played on the left & his pace worried Watford for the 64 minutes he was on the pitch. Cut in nicely to curl a shot just wide of the top corner towards the end of the first half. Plays with a belief & a maturity beyond his 17 years. (Hleb 64) Arsenal v Watford - Player Ratings

Sampdoria Vs. Milan

Milan's game was somehow out of luck. The lost point was due to miscommunication between CBs. And without Pirlo, they got some problems to hold ball properly in midfield. However the front line, including attacking midfielders and forwards did create a lot of opportunities to score, but just could not make an exciting finish :( So far, Milan ranks 12 with 4pts.
Other teams in Serie A also have problems, so not too worry about Milan's ranking :) but im worry about Yoann Gourcuff how long he'll be get injury? Well, wish he'll get back soon or move to EPL soon.hha.

Man of the Match: Pippo Inzaghi ♥

Liverpool Vs. Blackburn

1:1 at home is not exciting at all, but... one point is OK. Reds still could not find an efficient way to score. Good deliver from midfielders, and some amazing pass between wingers and forwards, but the last kick... Ah~~~ could not sent the ball into net. On the other hand, left wing-- it is my concerned point now. How many times the opposite players broke through defense from Reds' left wing in this season? Put Stevie there is definitely not a good answer. And what about put Luis Garcia and Mark Gonzalez in the same time to be a starter it'll be AWESOME duet tho.
So far, Liverpool ranks 10 with 11pts.
Theoretically, Liverpool can not win the Championship of Premiership this season :-(

Only Fabregas did a great jod for passing things. I cant believe that Luis Garcia didn't have any opportunities to score he didn't even touch the ball with his own foots. And the number SEVEN who was belongs to Raul, David Villa wore it aiiii I hate Villa, he doesn't deserves it only Raul who deserves to wear lucky number seven, need a long time to wear it. Better to think twice Villa !!! Torres dived all nite long. ewww . . .

HALF-TIME UPDATE: Score 1-1! Spain played way,way better than their previous match! They controlled the game really well. Xavi shot in the first goal at 32' and 2 mins after, Argentina equalized the scoreboard. Iniesta did amazing. Sergio was awesome too. So far, Spain's doing really, really well and they had many good shots/opportunities. Cesc, Xabi, Luis and Iker are on the bench, btw! Let's hope Spain gets in another ball in!

FULL-TIME UPDATE:Ok, SPAIN WON! 2-1! Spain DID get another ball in. It was a penalty won by Spain. Villa took it and it was a goal! Spain could have got in 4 goals in total but sadly, both were offside! One by Villa and one by Garcia. Xabi, Sergio and Villa (on the last min) were yellow-carded. Btw, Garcia substituted Torres, Xabi substituted Albelda (if I'm not wrong) and Cesc substituted Juanito(if I'm not wrong). Spain played a really good game in a long time.

If they keep up this energy and this good play, I'm sure they could do something pretty interesting in the next Euro Qualifier match!

'El Real' back from the back

Setelah kalah dari Lyon 1-0 El Real kembali dari keterpurukannya. Tanpa Beckham Real Madrid (my fave club ever) mampu mempermalukan Dynamo Kiev 5-1. Kemenangan ini merupakan pembuktian dari sang icon madrid Raul Gonzalez bahwa dia masih tajam di lini depan. 2 gol diciptakan oleh Raul Gonzalez yg sekarang menduduki posisi pertama Top Scorer di Liga Champion. Ruud Van Nistelrooy *kyknya salah deh nulisnya* menyumbang 2 gol yg dipersembahkan untuk anaknya yg baru lahir *ptg gitu*. Pemain baru / penghianat Arsenal / lakon yg membuat Beckham duduk di bangku cadangan yaitu Jose Antonio Reyes menyumbang 1 gol bagi El Real.

Man.utd vs Arsenal

Old Trafford menjadi saksi bisu kemenangan pertama arsenal selama 5 musim melawan Manchester United. And guess what im over ARSENAL and FABREGAS and ROSICKY now!!!!!!!!! Tapi ella suka MANUTD dari dulu. Jadi siapa pun yg menang dalam partai ini ella hapi" aja tuch. But ARSENAL played very" well at that time. Bola dipegang bener" ama ARSENAL tapi klo MANUTD udah nyerang itu pasti gila"an. Gak tau kenapa tanpa ryan gigs c.ronaldo terlihat tdk bisa leluasa memainkan bola. And Wayne Rooney TENGGELAM Megang bola pun ga ada 1 menit udah dihadang bek ARSENAL yg skg makin oke sejak datangnya William Gallas dari Chelsea.

10 menit terakhir merupakan penentuan nasib ARSENAL yg bermain di kandang MANUTD. C.Ronaldo yg pada saat itu sedang membawa bola, tiba" PLAYMAKER ARSENAL Fabregas merebut bola dgn mudahnya dari C.Ronaldo dan melewati bek" MANUTD kemudian mengoper ketengah dan membuahkan gol manis bagi ARSENAL oleh Adebayor. Assist yg indah dari MAN OF THE MATCH, FRANCESC FABREGAS. Kedudukan 0-1 terus dipertahankan sampai peluit panjang dibunyikan.

Pas nonton partai ini ella bener" seneng abisnya dalam 1 pertandingan ella bisa ngeliat C.Ronaldo, Fabregas, Rosicky, Rooney dkk. SENENG BGD. Apalagi nontonnya ga berdua seperti biasanya tapi ada mas dodo. RAME boo.

Even though I support Arsenal, I absolutely love Xabi. I think he's a brilliant player, and I felt bad for him because he had somewhat of a bad start this season (along with most of his Liverpool teammates. Except for Crouchie.). But he's back! He scored an incredible goal from 60 yards and, more importantly, celebrated by hugging Stevie (aw).

EPL or English Premier League sangat ditunggu-tunggu oleh seluruh penggila bola di dunia, termasuk ella. For season 2oo6/2oo7 ella dukung Manchester United and Liverpool. Tapi Sabtu 19 Agustus lalu Liverpool membuka EPL dengan tdk maksimal, melawan Sheffield United. Hasil akhir 1-1 membuahkan poin 1 untuk Liverpool. Demikian pula team idaman ella, Arsenal mengawalai liga dengan tdk maksimal melawan Aston Villa. Arsenal kebobolan dgn mudahnya tapi membobol dgn susahnya. Hasil imbang membuat Aston Villa memperkuat dinding pertahananya, bayangin aja semua gelandang bahkan striker ikut turun ke belakang demi mempertahankan skor. Arsenal pun dibuat pusing. Berkali-kali Arsenal melancarkan tendangan ke gawang tapi teralihkan pagar betis para bek. Bahkan yayank Fabregas hampir saja membuahkan gol kalau gak ketinggian tian golnya

Herannya Chelsea dan Manchester United malah mengawali putaran mereka dgn sangat luar biasa. Chelsea juara musim 2oo6/2oo6 ini membuahkan 3 gol di gawang Manchester City 20 Agustus lalu. Dengan absennya Ballack pun Chelsea tetap efektif di lini tengah. Gol pembuka dari kapten timnas Inggris, John Terry memperpanas pertandingan dengan banyaknya tackling yg dilakukan para pemain Manchester City. Kemudian gol kedua dari Frank Lampard membuktikan ke publik bahwa pemain tengah ini tidak mengecewakan. Gol penutup dari Drogba di menit-menit terakhir membuat Chelsea patut menerima poin sebanyak 3 dalam putaran awal mereka. Just so you know i like Chelsea just because they have Shevchenko as a striker. Ella cinta Shevchenko di Milan.

Manchester United my favorite club. Beatin up Fullham with last score 5-1. What was really happened? Menurut ella dengan defender semacam Bocanegra Fullham gak bakal kebobolan segitu banyak angka. Bocanegra is cute tho! Biarin aja deh, yg penting yayank C.Ronaldo scored. Tapi apa boleh buat striker Bandung Barat gak okeoke. Mas Indra maen di babak kedua udah janji bakal ngasih Ella dua gol malah diving di akhir permainan yg menyebabkan bola yg udah ditendang ka Andi gak sempet ditendang mas Indra. HUH. Diving mulu kayak Inzaghi. Trus abis maen bola kita pada makan di restoran depannya vila kok James. Bodornya Ezra mesen ikan gurame gede bgd, dia kira ikanya tuch kecil jadinya dia mesen itu bwat sendirian. Abis dari situ kita pada beli es mambo, ech taunya ketemu Nova cs lagi pada abis hiking. Keberhasilan Italia meraih Piala Dunia untuk keempat kalinya tak bisa dibilang andil satu atau dua pemain. Bahkan, tidak juga mutlak karena sosok genius Pelatih Marcello Lippi.

Namun, jika ada satu pemain yang pantas disebut sebagai pahlawan Italia yang sesungguhnya selama di Jerman, kapten tim Fabio Cannavaro-lah orangnya. CRAPCRAPCRAPCRAP!!!!!Bener" PORTUGAL menjadi kebanggaan ella.Walaupun kalah ella ga peduli yg penting mereka udah menguasai bola banget"an.Apaan tuh France menang ga murni usaha mereka.Dasar WASHIT kacau,,ga fair,,sentimen ama PORTUGAL,,terima sogokan Perancis*hoho.
For my dad Luiz Figo;; hebat" membawa portugal ke semi-final setelah 40 tahun menunggu dan gak sia" coz dlm pertandingan ini mereka bener" MENGUASAI.
Dimana" klo udah tendangan pinalti mana mungkin ga nyetak score *tdk termasuk inggris* sooo.. Liat aja ekspresi Zidane and Pelatihnya,,mereka ga puas dgn score yg didapet dgn cara ga PENTING itu.HOHO.
Walaupun begitu PORTUGAL masih bisa tersenyum lebar melihat ITALI masuk ke final.So,skg perhatian ella tercurah pada ITALI.Ga tau kenapa setelah melihat pertandingan yg bagus bgd antara PRANCIS and PORTUGAL ella ngerasa klo GERMANY bakal kalah at least PORTUGAL HOLD THE GAME last nite.

gila masak tadi siang pas tidur siang ella kemimpi portugal kalah.hoho.ga mungkin! portugal lebih layak ada di final.Perancis udah keseringan jadi ga usah lah.hoho.Zidane ke Zidat ntar ama Luis Figo my baby!hoho.Pensiun aja sonoh.Ga penting bgt.

pertamanya ella dukung portugal hanya karena ada cristiano ronaldo doank.but when he got injured,i think twice bout it.apalagi deco pake keluar segala.entah mengapa walaupun dunia disekelilingku mendukung inggris,ella masih mencintai keindahan permainan portugal.so i wont lose it,rite?
Tanpa disangka o1 juli 2oo6 pukul 22oo,portugal memulai permainan yg begitu memukau dengan kapten luis figo yg bermain selayaknya seorang kapten.tapi kok seorang beckham jadi begonoh.so ella PD bgd portugal bisa melaluinya.Setelah beberapa kali tambahan waktu akhrinya tiba saatnya dimana seorang ella yakin 1oo% bahwa portugal mampu memenangi permainan ini yaitu saat PENALTI.huahua
Dan ternyata memang itulah jadinya Inggris kalah kesekian kali dalam tendangan penalti.Tapi cristiano ronaldo makin membuat hatiku luluh.Bayangin aja! abis cidera dia malah tampil memukau ditambah tendangannya pas pinalti bener" mengecoh abis"an sang keeper.huahua makan tuh si beckham nangis buat pendukung inggris.dont take it seriously okay ;p !

Some people maybe wondering why ella become like this over football thing.Well pertamanya ella ga pernah menikmati yg namanya nonton bola,bingung aja kok ada orang" yg ngejar bola ampe segitunya.Tapi setelah ngeliat permainan ITALI VS AUSTRALIA yg ella anggep lucu bukan rame,ella jadi ketagihan nonton bola.Apalagi sejak ella mengidolakan C.RONALDO yess the one with babyface,cute smile and adorable skill.For the 1st time ella dukung France tapi lama-lama karena ella paling ga konsisten dalam pilih memilih soal sports,setelah melihat permainan PORTUGAL ella jadi kepincut berat*halah.C.RONALDO gitu.haha.Tapi bukan kepincut C.RO*klo itu seh udah dari dulu*,ella kepincut permainan Portugal pas lawan Belanda whoa loads of red cards,dari situ ella ngeliat klo Portugal bakal ngelakuin apa aja demi masuk ke babak semi-final untuk yg pertama kalinya dalam 40 tahun.Udah kayak komentator bola aja neh ella.Bayangin aja akhir'' ini ella begadang mulu selama semi-final.Ella sendiri aneh kok ella jadi bener" GIBOL.Well those are the legend of ELLA THE GIBOL.
